Pet Diagnostic Services in Dubai

Accurate diagnosis is the foundation of effective treatment. At Paw Sisters, our in-clinic diagnostic services mean your pet results are processed on-site – not sent to an external laboratory – so your vet has the information needed to begin treatment the same day. Whether your pet needs a routine blood panel or an urgent assessment, we have the equipment and the expertise to deliver a clear, actionable diagnosis.

Pet Surgery

In-House Blood Tests, Imaging, and Diagnostic Services

Our diagnostic service at Paw Sisters covers the full range of tools needed to assess your pet internal and external health. From in-house blood analysis to digital X-ray and ultrasound, every test is designed to give your vet a complete clinical picture – so treatment decisions are based on facts, not guesswork.

Blood Tests and In-House Lab Analysis

Blood Tests and Laboratory Analysis
A blood panel is one of the most informative diagnostic tools in veterinary medicine. At Paw Sisters, our in-house analyser processes complete blood counts (CBC) and biochemistry panels within minutes. A CBC reveals red and white blood cell counts, platelet levels, and signs of infection or anaemia. A biochemistry panel assesses liver function, kidney function, blood glucose, electrolytes, and protein levels. Results are ready before you leave the clinic in most cases, allowing your vet to discuss findings and treatment options at the same appointment.

Digital X-Ray and Ultrasound Imaging

X-Ray and Ultrasound Imaging
Digital X-ray allows us to assess bones, joints, the chest cavity, and abdominal organ size. It is particularly valuable for identifying fractures, foreign body ingestion, lung changes, and heart enlargement. Ultrasound provides real-time soft tissue imaging – assessing the kidneys, liver, spleen, bladder, reproductive organs, and gastrointestinal tract for structural changes, fluid accumulation, or masses. Both are performed in-house at Paw Sisters and interpreted by our vets on the same visit.

Urinalysis

Urinalysis
Urine analysis is an essential component of any diagnostic workup, particularly for pets showing signs of increased thirst, frequent urination, or suspected kidney or bladder disease. Urinalysis at Paw Sisters includes assessment of specific gravity, pH, glucose, protein, blood cells, and sediment. It is a simple, non-invasive test that frequently reveals significant information about kidney function, urinary tract infection, diabetes, and early organ disease.

Skin, Ear, and Cytology Diagnostics

Skin and Coat Diagnostics
Changes in your pet coat, persistent itching, or skin lesions can signal a wide range of conditions – from parasitic infection to hormonal disease or allergy. Our diagnostics include skin scrapes for mite and fungal identification, cytology smears for bacterial and yeast infections, and hair plucks for fungal culture. These in-clinic tests allow us to confirm a skin diagnosis rapidly without waiting for external lab results.

Our In-House Diagnostic Equipment
Paw Sisters is equipped with the tools needed to manage the full range of conditions presenting in small animal practice:
– Haematology and biochemistry analysers with same-visit blood results
– Digital radiography (X-ray)
– Ultrasound
– Urinalysis equipment
– Microscopy for skin, ear, and cytology samples
– Blood pressure measurement
– Pulse oximetry and ECG

Having this capability in-clinic means faster answers, fewer referrals, and a better experience for your pet.

How Your Pet Diagnostic Appointment Works in 3 Steps

At Paw Sisters, your pet diagnostic appointment is organised into a clear, efficient 3-step process that minimises stress and maximises the information your vet has available.

Step 1: Book an Appointment

Combined Shape

Book your appointment and share your pet details – breed, age, symptoms, and any relevant history – when you call or book online. This allows our team to prepare the appropriate diagnostic equipment and ensure we make the most of your visit.

Step 2: Home Visit

At your appointment, your vet conducts a full physical examination first, then recommends and collects the samples required – blood, urine, swabs, or skin samples. Our in-house analyser processes most blood results within 20 to 30 minutes. Imaging is performed the same day where indicated.

Step 3: Delivering the Results

Once results are ready, your vet reviews the findings with you clearly and in plain language – explaining what each result means, what it rules out, and what the recommended next steps are. You receive a written summary of findings and the treatment plan before leaving.

Trusted by Pet Owners Across Dubai

At Paw Sisters, we believe every diagnosis should be fully explained to you. Your vet will walk through each result in plain language, tell you what it confirms and what it rules out, and give you a written summary before you leave. You will never be sent home with vague information and no plan.

Don't Leave Your Pet's Health to Guesswork!

Delaying investigation when your pet is unwell rarely leads to a better outcome. Early, accurate diagnosis reduces the overall cost and duration of treatment by enabling targeted intervention before a condition becomes complex. If your pet is showing any signs of illness – lethargy, weight change, appetite loss, vomiting, increased thirst, or changes in urination – do not wait.
